If you have never tried the eGo T, we are fairly certain that it will quickly become one of your favorites! The T3S clearomizer tank is a short-wick bottom coil design, which is our personal favorite and the one that many of our customers confirm is the best. The bottom coil clearomizer is pleasant to vape and easy to take care of, with minimal finicky parts or tricks that you have to remember to make it work well. Of course, there are pros and cons to a bottom coil atomizer, just as there are pros and cons to a top coil atomizer, but overall we find that the bottom coil atomizer is a more solid product, and definitely is better if you are new to vaping or want a great experience with minimal fuss.
Bottom Coil T3S Clearomizer Tank
The bottom coil T3S atomizer head has a short wick that is constantly saturated with e juice, since it is at the bottom of the atomizer tank. This means that you never have to worry about your wick drying out and giving you dry hits (which is the case in the CE4 and the CE5 Tanks), unless you used your pen wrong and tried to vape when the tank was empty. The bottom coil gives consistently great hits and large clouds of vapor. Also, since the atomizer coil is a little farther away from your mouth than with a top coil model, you get cooler vapor and fuller flavor.
Quick Instruction Reference
eGo Battery on/off
One feature that our customers love about the eGo starter kit vape pen battery is the five click safety function. In order to activate the battery, simply click it five times quickly, and then do the same to deactivate it. This means that you will not have to worry about your eGo battery being turned on in a pocket or in a purse if the button is accidentally pushed. This protects both your eGo battery and your clearomizer, cartomizer or atomizer, since heating the atomizer without drawing the vapor can eventually ruin it. Because of this feature, when you get your eGo starter kit, the battery will likely be deactivated and will need to be turned on with five quick clicks. Therefore do not worry that you have been sent a defective battery if you push the button and it does not turn on; just click it five times quickly and your eGo vaporizer pen should turn right on.
The battery screws into a tank, which holds the e juice. The tank makes a connection with the battery and thus gets power to heat up the heating element called the atomizer, which in effect turns the e juice into vapor that the user inhales. Depending on the type of tank you have, the tank will either be one piece or you can take the atomizer (heating element) out. There are 3 different tanks that each have pros and cons, which are clearomizers, cartomizers and rebuildable atomizers.
Your eGo starter kit will also come with a clearomizer
Your standard eGo-T starter kit will have a metal mesh bridge above the atomizer coil, however there are many different types of eGo starter kits including the pink vape pen starter kit, black eGo-C Twist, eGo-TBattery and many more which might come with a different atomizer or clearomizer tank. This metal mesh bridge (on the typical joyetech/cartomizer) brings the e liquid from the cartridge to the atomizer coil in limited amounts. The amount of liquid that is vaporized depends on how long you press down the button. Pressing the button for a very short amount of time will result in a cooler, smaller draw, and a longer press will give the atomizer more time to heat up, which will result in a much hotter, much larger draw from your vape pen.
Lets look a little more in detail the difference between the Ego Vape Pen Batteries.
Ego T Vs. Ego C Twist Batteries
The main difference between the eGo-T Starter Kit and the eGo-C Twist Starter Kit is the ability to change the voltage that heats up your atomizer tank. The eGo-T battery has a standard amount of voltage that will heat up your atomizer coil which creates vapor and the eGo-C Twist battery has a “Variable Voltage” that will give you the ability to change the amount of volts heating up your atomizer.
eGo-C Twist Battery
The the eGo-T and the eGo C Twist are essentially the same, but one has the variable voltage functionality (eGo C Twist). Both batteries will have the same connections (size of threading), to screw on different tanks.
Ego Thread Battery Connections
Outer Ring = Ego Thread | Inner Ring = 510 Thread
Ego Thread and 510 Thread
The outer ring is called eGo thread connection and the inner ring is called the 510 thread connection. This allows for a wider variety of tanks that can be used with the eGo battery. Some tanks will have a 510 connection and some will have the eGo connection. Either way, you can be assured that both tank connections will work with the eGo batteries. Some of the bigger tanks, such as the kanger tech uni tank will have a 510 thread, which is an awesome atomizer tank and can hold much more E Juice then some of the other tanks.
Ego Vape Pen Battery
Ego Vape Pen Battery with T3 Clearomizer
That eGo connection is also where you would normally hook up the charger to charge your vape pen. The battery of a typical eGo would be 650mAh on the low end, but they actually usually will last you a day or longer, depending on the amount you vape. They also have 600mah, 900mAh, 1100mAh, 1300mAh, and even bigger sizes, but really the 600-900mah is all you need.
The eGo battery is powered on and off by pushing the button 5 times quickly. This 5 button press is a safety mechanism that should prevent the vape pen from getting turned and accidentally heating up the atomizer in your pocket or bag.

How to Use the Ego-T Starter Kit
After you’ve filled up your ego t starter kit, you want to vape right? Below are the general use instructions, such as how to turn it on, off and how to lock it so it doesn’t accidentally trigger the atomizer to vape in your pocket or purse.
Step 1 – How to Turn your Ego-T Vape Pen On
To see if your ego t pen is already on, you can press the power button down once to see if it lights up. If it does not light up it means its off. To turn it on, simply press the button five times until you see it starts to blink.
Step 2 – Press the Power Button and Take a Puff (a Slow Puff)
Now that the vape pen is on, if your tank isn’t screwed onto the tank do that first. Now put your mouth on the mouthpiece (drip tip) and take a small controlled puff while pressing down (and holding down) the power button. This will initiate the vaping and you will hear the vaping action and you will feel the vape when you inhale. You want to take a slow controlled puff, as if you do it too quickly, it can cause leaking of your clearomizer tank.
Step 3 – Turn off Your Ego-T Vape Pen When Not In Use
Similar to how you turned your ego-t pen on, you will want to click the power button 5 times in a row to turn it off. You will see the ego-t battery start blinking and stop. Now when you try to press the power button, the button will not light up. This means it is off, safe in lock/off mode, so that you don’t accidentally vape your ego-t vape pen, while it’s in your pocket or purse.
How to Charge Your Ego-T Starter Kit
When you first receive the starter kit, you will likely have some charge on the battery so you can vape right away. When you get past that initial charge, you will need to charge your battery with the included USB/AC adapter, which is extremely easy. Note that you should never use a charger that is not designed for the vape pens.
Step 1 – Screw the Ego-T Vape Pen into the USB Charger
To charge your ego t starter kit, you simply need to screw the ego-t battery into the USB charger connection. Then you attach that usb cord into the AC adapter to plug into the wall.
Step 2 – Charge for a Few Hours Until Fully Charged
It may take longer if you are plugging the USB charger into the computer, so it is recommended to just charge it through the AC adapter if you want it to charge faster. It will probably take anywhere between 3-4 hours. It is also not recommended to leave charging overnight or to leave it charging unattended.
Step 3 – Vape, Rinse and Repeat
Once you have a fully charged ego-t battery, it should last anywhere between 8-10 hours, or less if you really vape a lot. You should be fine getting through your entire day vaping on one battery, if it is a 900mah-1100mah. If it is 650mah you may run out much sooner.
How to fill your Ego T Starter Kit
You Made the Decision to Purchase an Ego T Starter Kit
So you’ve decided to purchase an ego t vape pen starter kit and you are super excited to get started with this whole vaping thing. Or maybe you’ve already been vaping for a while with a subpar vaping device like the little E-Cigs: The Cig-A-Like devices that typically don’t perform well, and now you want to move on to a better alternative, like the ego-t vape pen or any eGo Starter Kit. So you decide to go with an ego t vape pen starter kit because its one of the most popular choices of vape starter kits on the market today.
Ego T Starter Kit On Its Way!
After you purchase the ego t kit, you wait for the mail to come. A few days pass, and before you know it, your Vape Mail is here! You run to the mailbox, frantically open your package and you see the ego-t and all its glory. You then proceed to screw on the battery to make it a full pen. You also notice that your ego t starter kit you got from slim vape pen has free ejuice included. “Great!” You think. “But how do I fill this sucker up?
How to Fill Your Ego T Starter Kit
The first thing you want to do is get some paper towels handy just in case you spill your ejuice or get it on the side of the tank. You should also be careful not to get it on your eyes, skin, mouth etc, as you might expect. Also make sure that you always leave your ejuice and vape supplies out of reach of children and pets, as ejuice contains nicotine and is harmful (can be fatal) if ingested. Just BE CAREFUL. Now that we got that out of the way, here are the steps to filling your ego t starter kit:
Step 1 – Unscrew the Base
The first thing you need to do to fill your ego t starter kit is to simply turn the T3S clearomizer upside down and unscrew the base. The base is just the atomizer + base, which is the mechanism that turns the e juice into vapor. Place the Base / Atomizer piece to the side, until you are done filling your tank.
Step 1. Unscrew the Base
Step 2 – Begin Filling Your Tank
Now take your e juice dropper bottle and fill it up with the ejuice liquid, and begin pouring it into the T3S tank from your ego t starter kit. Be careful not to get the ejuice into that middle airway hole, as that is supposed to be kept dry, as only air and vapor will pass through it. A trick to make sure you don’t get any down the airway is to just pour slowly.
Step 2. Tilt Tank and Pour
Step 3 – Fill Your Tank up, but not too much
You want to fill your tank up almost to the top markings on the T3S clearomizer, so that you will have enough ejuice in there to last you between refills. Be careful not to fill too much, as if you go past the air hole, it will get ejuice down the airway, which is no good, because then you will have to clean your tank.
Step 3. Level out E Juice
Step 4 – Screw the Atomizer Base Back On
Now grab that atomizer base that you took off and screw that back on to make a good seal. After this you can screw the clearomizer back onto the ego-t battery from your starter kit. Now what you want to do is let your ejuice sit in the tank for 5-10 minutes so the ejuice can soak into the wick. This ensures you get less of that initial “breaking in” your atomizer burnt taste. From then on, you are good to go. Note that you may need to charge your battery first, but oftentimes they come with a little bit of a charge so you can start vaping right away!
Step 4. Screw Atomizer Back On
Ego Battery Not Charging
Is your eGo-t or eGo Twist Battery not charging?
Ok everyone, this is probably one of most common problems with the eGo-T, eGo Twist, eGo-V and all other eGo, EVOD or 510 thread style batteries. There is not need to start getting frustrated right away, instead there are many different trouble shooting tips on why your eGo battery is not charging.
eGo Battery Not Charging
You eGo battery is not charging if..
eGo Battery Firing pin (Center Post) has e-juice on it
eGo Battery Firing pin (Center Post) not connecting to charger pin
eGo Battery Firing pin (Center Post) has been pushed down too far and is not making connection
eGo Battery was over tightened to tank or charger which forces center post down
eGo Charger connection is dirty
eGo Charger is Faulty
eGo Battery is Faulty
This eGo Battery not charging issue applies to..
Ago Dry Herb/ Wax Battery
eGo Twist Battery
eGo-T Battery
eGo-V Battery
E-Smart Battery
EVOD Battery
EVOD VV Battery
Vamo Battery
Vision Spinner Battery
510 Thread Batteries
There are many more batteries that have the same eGo Thread as well as the 510 thread. The eGo thread is the outer ring (Thread) of your battery which connects to your atomizer and the 510 thread is the inner ring (Thread) which connects to your charger. It is important to understand why your charger might not be charging your battery and there are many reasons that it might just need a little “tweaking” as does everything with vape pens.
How to fix your eGo Battery not Charging
The first thing you want to do is make sure all your connections are clean before you attach your battery to t he charger, this will prevent any future problems of your eGo battery not charging. The Second thing you want to do is NEVER OVER TIGHTEN YOUR TANK TO YOUR BATTERY. With that being said, lets review how to really fix your eGo battery from not charging.
eGo Battery Firing pin (Center Post) not connecting to charger
This is the MAIN REASON why your eGo battery is not charging properly. This is one of the most common complaints that customers have and it is very easy to fix. When your Firing Pin or Center Post is not making a connection to your battery charger it is because the center post on your eGo Battery has been pushed down too far.
How to fix:
Take something very small like a toothpick and lift the center post up. The best way to do this is by going around each side of the center post and gently lifting the post up until all sides have been evenly lifted. If you do not have a toothpick try using tweezers, a jewelry screwdriver or something similar. Connect the eGo battery back to the charger and your eGo battery should start charging again.
eGo Battery Firing pin (Center Post) has e-juice on it
One of the most common problems with vape pen atomizer, clearomizer or cartomizer tanks is that they leak. Leaking tanks will result in e-juice on your Firing pin or Center Post. It depends on how much e-juice is on your center post, but in most cases any amount is too much.
How to fix:
Clean the center post as well as everything that surrounds the center post with a paper towel. Let the inside of the 510 thread area air out and dry by either letting a paper towel sit in there or literally drying out.
eGo Charger is Faulty
If you think you have a faulty charger, try charging another battery. The key here is to make sure that you are making a connection on both devices. If your charger is not charging both batteries then chances are you have a faulty charger and this will be the result as to why your eGo Battery is not charging.
eGo Battery is Faulty
If you think you have a faulty eGo battery the best thing to do is test it on another charger. If you do not have another charger and you are certain that you have made all the maintenance tips provided (Cleaning Center Post and Lifting Center Post) than chances are you have a faulty battery.
eGo Twist Battery not charging
If your eGo Twist battery is not charging, this may indicate a problem with your battery, but it may also indicate a problem that is much easier to fix. Try these easy trouble-shooting suggestions before you decide that you need to replace your battery.
Is the firing pin on the battery touching the charger?
Your charger may not be fully contacting your battery, in which case it is not going to charge. Remember first of all that the charger screws onto the battery, just like the atomizer does. In order to start your battery charging, you have to screw the charger onto the battery so that the firing pin touches the charger.
Check and make sure the screw threads are aligned and that the charger is being screwed on straight. When the charger and battery are connected correctly and you plug the charger in, the battery button light will flash a couple of times and the charger indicator light will turn either red or green to indicate whether the battery is depleted or full. If both of these things do not happen, then you do not have a good connection.
Does the firing pin have e juice on it?
If your atomizer or clearomizer tank is leaking, you will get e juice on the firing pin of your battery. It is easy to see whether there is e juice present simply by looking at the place where the battery connects to the charger. If there is e juice on the firing pin, then far less or no charge will pass from the charger to the battery. If you see e juice on the firing pin, first clean it off with a soft cloth and then address the cause of your tank leaking.
The most common reason why tanks leak is because they are not full. Your atomizer and clearomizer tank uses a vacuum/suction mechanism to prevent the tank from leaking, rather like placing a vacuum cleaner tube on a ball and picking it up. The vacuum cleaner can pick up the ball as long as the ball is fully covering the opening to the tube, but as soon as the seal is broken the ball will fall down. Similarly, if there is too much air in your atomizer tank, the vacuum seal can be broken and the tank may start leaking. Refill the tank, clean off any leaked e juice with a soft cloth, and try again to see if the leakage problem has been fixed.
Is the battery old?
As with all electronics, the eGo Twist battery does not last forever. As it ages, it will take longer to charge and will hold its charge for less time. This is just the same ageing process that you may have noticed with cell phone and laptop batteries.
If you are noticing your battery life is decreasing, it may be time to think about replacing your eGo battery with a new one. You can usually count on at least six months of good solid use from your eGo battery before it starts losing charge power, excluding user damage or manufacturing defects.
If you go through the troubleshooting steps listed above and your eGo battery is still not charging, please contact us. We can help you figure out what is going wrong with your battery and get you back to vaping in no time!
