HELPED MY MAN SWITCH TO VAPING

The first and greatest benefit of electronic cigarettes is that it helped my man stop smoking and switch to vaping. He had tried in the past and I don’t know about you but being around someone that is trying to make that transition to switch such an ingrained habit is really no fun. The grouchiness and inconvenience was really just the icing on the cake. Now with e-cigs, he’s never gone back even once. He can’t stand the smell of cigarettes and even comments on how badly others smell when he smells their second hand smoke. This is also due to his new found sense of smell that he had lost when he was smoking tobacco.

SMELL OR LACK OF – NO MORE CIGARETTE SMELL

The first positive benefit to e-cigarettes is the smell. My guy went from having cigarette smell on his clothing face and hands to smelling like cookies and cream or some yummy fruit. He had to wash his hands and face every time we kissed, now with the e-cigs I don’t have to worry about that. Not to mention how I would smell when I was around him that is all gone now…now just berries, and cookies. This doesn’t even include how many times I had to wash my hair because of the smell. I would go and get an amazing blow out and have it ruined because my hair started to smell like smoke. So annoying!

DRY CLEANING SAVINGS

There were some financial benefits that I had not realized either. One major savings electronic cigarettes had in our home was the dry cleaning bill. We used to have to take his clothes in every single time he wore them so we were literally spending about $50 per week on dry cleaning alone, it’s now dropped down to about $50 per month…that’s a $150 savings each month! This allows us to purchase more yummy flavored e-cig juice and go to dinner!

Finally the largest impact is no more second hand smoke! I’m pregnant now so I don’t have to worry about our daughter breathing in carcinogens or my man. The electronic cigarette juice also comes with child proof caps so I don’t have to worry about pets or our daughter getting into the e-cig juice. Using e-cigs also reduces trash and dust clean up from ashes and now I don’t have to worry about our daughter picking up cigarette butts!

I was always a little embarrassed to admit my guy smoked; especially in front of other parents. I never wanted them to be concerned to send their child to our home thinking he would smoke in the house around them and they would have to breathe second hand smoke. He always smoked outside but now with e-cigs, it’s not embarrassing, it’s kind of fashion and culture forward if you ask me because there isn’t a stigma attached to it. It also seems to be a non-foul smelling alternative to nicotine.

RESIDUAL BENEFITS

Something odd but true for another benefit of using e-cigs is the lack of burn holes in his clothing. I can’t tell you how many times we’ve had to replace a shirt or garment due to a cigarette hole! This includes outdoor furniture too! This was always grounds for a fight or stealth run to the store because there was nothing worse than something being ruined from a cigarette hole or smell.

Residual e-cig benefits for me also include social positives. No more waiting for dad to finish his cigarette before or after a meal at a restaurant or at home.

SAFETY FIRST

Now instead of matches, lighter or zippo’s laying all around the house, we have simple electronic cigarette chargers. This is not only convenient, but I don’t have to worry about our children playing with matches or coming across these fire devices. E-cigs really ease a parents mind from a safety perspective. This protects our children as well as others coming to visit our home.
