Replace your atomizer coils frequently and experience a better vape!
Replacing your atomizer coils is a great way to learn the ins and outs of your vape pen and to take total control of your vaping experience. There are lots of different reasons you might want to get into replacing your atomizer coils. Some people just love tinkering with stuff and want to have the experience of playing around with customizing atomizer coils in different size ohms. There is a big difference in replacement atomizer coils for eGo style tanks and EVOD style tanks and rebuildable atomizer tanks. Rebuildable atomizers take much more skill at perfecting build and take much more time spending hours calculating voltages and Ohms and getting atomizer coils exactly the way they want them. Going the route of simple replacement kangertech atomizer coils for your battery is fast and easy!

What are Ohms?
Ohms are a measurement of the resistance of the coil. Resistance creates heat, and heat is of course what vaporizes your e juice. Determining the resistance you of Ohms you need is going to depend on what kind of vape you want out of your vape pen, how much power it is supplying, and how hot you want your coil to get.
- 3.0 Ohms = High Resistance
- 2.5 Ohms = Medium High Resistance
- 2.0 Ohms = Average Resistance
- 1.5 Ohms = Medium Low Resistance
- 1.0 Ohms = Low Resistance
How do replacement atomizer coils work?
Kangertech atomizer coils come in different sizes called Ohms. High Ohm numbers mean the replacement atomizer coils are high resistance, which are less powerful. Low gauge numbers mean the replacement atomizer coils are low resistance, which are more powerful. The higher the number of Ohms, the easier the electricity flows through it, and the lower the resistance (and therefore the heat). The lower number of Ohms, the more resistance and heat there is. The Ohms that are outputted by the coil depend on the width and length of the wire. Fortunately with these coils, we just tell you how many Ohms they produce, so you can match them up with your battery and go without having to worry about figuring out gauge and wire length.
1.8 Ohm Coils
1.8 Ohm Coils are one of the best medium low resistance coils you can get for eGo style vape pen tanks, clearomizers and BCC clearomizers. 1.8 Ohm Coils give you more vapor production than the normal 2.5 Ohm coils that most vape pens come with. If you purchase a starter kit, the Ohms in your clearomizer are usually between 2.5 Ohms and 3.0 Ohms. If you are looking to increase the flavor quality and cloud production out of your clearomizer, getting a pack of replacement 1.8 Ohm Coils if the way to go!
Do you need to measure Ohms with an eGo style battery?
No. Most of the regular vape pen batteries like the eGo Twist or Vision Spinner have enough power to supply 1.8 Ohm Coils. If you have a vape pen like the eGo-t650mAh battery, you may want to look at a larger size Ohm coil, such as the 2.2 Ohm coils or 2.5 Ohm coils. If the idea of having to figure out for yourself what resistance level you need is overwhelming to you, then choosing a medium resistance replacement coil such as the 2.2 is the way to go. We have a bunch of fantastic options for regular vape pen starter kits that do all the work for you so you can just worry about enjoying your vaping experience.
